Chancellor

Brice W. Harris has served as chancellor of the Los Rios Community College District since 1996 and is nationally regarded as a leader in higher education. Dr. Harris was previously the president of Fresno City College in Fresno, California and a faculty member and administrator in the Kansas City, Missouri community college system.

Dr. Harris serves on a number of educational and community boards and organizations. He chairs the Task Force on Leadership in California Community Colleges and recently chaired the California Community Colleges Task Force on Global and International Education. He also serves as a commissioner for the Western Accrediting Association for Community Colleges and is on the Board of Chief Executive Officers of California Community Colleges. Locally, Dr. Harris serves on the boards of the Sacramento Area Commerce and Trade Organization (SACTO), the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and the Crocker Art Museum.
